Hye Geen preserves and honors the achievements of Armenian women, promotes their role in family and society through research, education and advocacy, and provides overall support to empowering women as carriers of Armenian cultural heritage. History: Established in Southern California in 1994, this body has implemented and sponsored numerous cultural and social projects and events both in the United States as well as in Armenia. With a center in Gyumri which was established in 2002 and one in Vanadzor, established in 2006, more than 269 women have received pre-natal care and more than 227 babies have been welcomed into the world through these facilities. Get Involved: Your generous contributions will help our projects and ensure safe pregnancy for Armenian mothers-to-be in Gyumri and Vanadzor. These services provide not only medical care to young mothers, but social and emotional support to Armenian women and Armenian families thereby strengthening the foundation to help keep Armenian culture and identity alive. |
